I know it's been awhile since I've posted an update. Well let's see what have been up to...I finished school in May. I have been looking work ever since and just found something at MS State Hospital (Whitfield). Being broke isn't fun at all.
The girls are getting bigger and older. BB still makes straight A's. She scored advanced on the MCT 2. Unfortunately, I still think she could be challenged a little more...LOL! Lourdes makes A's and B's. She's just not interested but I'm working on that as well. Both are cheerleaders (Lourdes is an alternate) on the school's new squad. I am still very much involved with the school's site council and PTA. We are finally getting a little more parental involvement which is good for the school overall. I'm working on a proposal to hopefully get some intramural sports at the school for at least next at the latest.
Zoe just made 1 (10/17)! She is sooo bad, well busy. Her sisters harass her so much she doesn't want to have anything to do with them. She has started to have tantrums, she falls out in the floor, covers her face and just cries... She plays peek a boo, points at what she wants, holds her hand out also. She also plays chase and for some reason likes to just sit under tables...so when I'm looking for her, she is usually under the coffee table...peeking at me, waiting for me to find her.
Anywho...that's it for us. I'm waiting to start grad school in the spring and studying for the registry exam (so I can get some more money).

What is it about an old couple's love that endures for years...
I went to a funeral weekend before last for my play grandmother. I hate funerals and for a minute when I was younger had written them off. I didn't care who died, I wasn't going. I had to get over that quick...loosing close friends in high school and college.
Oh, her death was unexpected, she was old and in a nursing home but no expected her to pass, but who does expect death? Maybe that's my guilt talking for not taking time out of my busy schedule to go and see her especially so she could Zoe. It makes her loss all the more painful.
I remember her as loving but mean even though she truly wasn't mean. Just a little selfish considering she had no children of her own and liked things her way. And it had to be her way. He knew it too and loved and accepted her all the same. He, being her husband had lost her once when he could no longer care for her and had to put her in a nursing home. He wasn't in the best health either...and now she was gone again. Most of my pain is his pain. She married at 16, he being a couple years older. She was 82 or 83 when she passed. He had already had other children by then and she had already been married, divorced and miscarried.
It amazes me. Old people, their love, I just love to watch them. How they carefully and lovingly interact with each other. The stories they must share between them.
Again I ponder...what is it?

Almost done...
I'm almost done at the VA. Since the last update. Zoe has turned 6 months and been vaccinated, Lourdes has turned 8 years old, and Brittany has been sick, not all in that order.
The girls also got their grades. Brittany received all As again. Lourdes got As and Bs. For their grades, they have received money, Brittany got a Nintendo DS, and Lourdes has a cellphone now (I promise I didn't buy it). It's cute though. It's a hotpink Firefly. Brittany's DS is light pink and she has the game NintenDogs.
The girls and I went to see the musical Frog and Toad. They actually enjoyed it. Yeah! Now I know I can drag them to other shows. I wanted to take them to KidFest in Ridgeland but BB was sick so we didn't make it.
We all went to the zoo about a week ago. My friend Justino went with me to help me with the girls and he brought Zain who has gotten so big. It has been years since I have him.
Zoe currently weighs 17 lbs and 11 oz. She is walking and running in the walker while dragging stuff with her. She can hold and drink out of her sippy cup.
Brittany was ill this past weekend. Running a high fever, lethargic, not eating, and just sleeping. I took her to the Dr. yesterday. She was given two shots and they took her blood. They are sending her for more tests to have her kidneys checked but she was treated yesterday for a bladder infection.
This week is my last week at the VA. Next week is my last week of school. Then, I just graduate at the end of May! Can't wait to get it over with.

April...
Hello Everyone,
It's been awhile...I know, I know, bad momma, but hey, we get busy over here. I'm still at the VA, working hard, very hard (yeah right) and learning everything I need to know before graduation. Only two and a half more weeks there and I will be free! It has been fun and an eye-opener, but maybe I can get a job out of it either way.
We weathered the storms fine. I was oblivious to them. I'm at the VA on a conference call, missing concerned phone calls, etc. and we are having tornadoes. I guess if I have to go, I don't want to see it coming. I was in the basement so I think I was pretty safe. The girls and my mom were home and we had no damage, everything was north of us.
I've taken Zoe to the Dr. for a sinus infection which is all gone now. I really don't think she had an infection, but since he was going on my information (whether the mucus was green, clear, yellow), he gave her an antibiotic. I'm just happy the congestion and runny nose is gone, now if I could just get her skin to cooperate. She is walking in a walker. She had gotten bored with the jumper. I guess because it's stationary and then I find out she was already walking in the walker in the nursery at daycare.
The girls are still doing well in school. Report cards came out earlier this week. Brittany is still getting all A's (as she has done all year) and Lourdes received A's and B's. Both made Honors. I guess I can't really complain (unless it's about stuff at home). They do what they are suppose to do at school.
Until next time....love, peace, and hair grease:-)

Spring break when...
Spring break is coming to an end and what have I done... I didn't clean nor organize as much as I would have like to. But I did get some shopping done for the girls, I have finished Zoe's crib, caught up on some studying, updated my resume and looked for jobs here and in TX. So, it wasn't a total waste. I also touched up the girls hair and decided that I am cutting my hair. There are just too many heads in this house, including Zoe's.
Brittany and Lourdes have been just playing, not really doing their chores, but playing outside, watching TV, and helping me with Z.
Speaking of Zoe (who just turned 5 months)...she is just too busy and growing by leaps and bounds. I bought her a cup this week. She was already holding her bottle so why not. She also just won't be still. She is getting out of her carseat in one move. She is sitting up. Time is going too fast! It seems like just yesterday, she was born and I was holding her in the hospital.
